Mango Carrot Smoothie


This combination of carrots and mangos, especially when paired with the zing of fresh ginger, makes this one of the best tasting, most refreshing fruit an veggie smoothies I have tried. The added boost of a full days worth of vitamin A and C and a good dose of fibre, is sure to move this smoothie into your regular snack rotation.

I especially like it as a pre or post workout snack as it provides you with the necessary electrolytes for rehydrating as well as anti-inflammatory properties which aid in post-workout recovery. And if you re looking for an extra dose of protein, just decrease the water a bit and add in some non-fat vanilla Greek yogurt and a handful of spinach! Enjoy.

Mango Carrot Smoothie

Serves: 1 Prep Time: 5 mins


  • 1/2 cup apple juice
  • 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups frozen mango
  • 1/2 inch piece ginger
  • 1/2 large frozen banana
  • 1 1/2 tbsp almond butter


  1. Add all ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
